Take a challenge & make a difference!
Did you know that 650 million people are living without safe water? AND 1 in 3 people live without a decent toilet! One in ten people do not have access to safe, clean water, and many women and children waste hours each day walking to collect water. Can you imagine living like this? OR seeing your family and friends living like this?
If this makes the pit of your stomach drop, join me by signing up to The Water Challenge - a fantastic way to make a difference! I've recently become the ambassador of WaterAid Australia, an amazing organisation who dedicate their time to improving the quality of life for millions of people.
The Water Challenge aims to raise awareness of the global inequality for access to safe water sources in developing nations. You can participate by doing either of the following ...
- Drink Just Water for 14 or 30 days in March 2017. Water & nothing else people!
- Walk for Water by walking or running 10,000 steps a day from 20-24 March 2017
You can all do it!! Either option is easily do-able! So I really urge you to take the leap & do it with me! You can register HERE (it's free to register) and read more about HERE. Get a buddy on board & do it together.
Safe water and sanitation underpin health, education and livelihoods, yet millions of people across the world live without these basic human rights. It's time to change this for good.
Make a difference guys, you'll feel better off for it! Money raised will go towards working with WaterAid's local partners to set up practical and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene solutions that meet the real needs of our near neighbours in Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea and Cambodia.
