Time to share one of my current daily rituals with you … a smoothie that is so delish, it’ll knock your socks off!!

Scroll down to have a look at the yumminess & then see the recipe below. You can put your own stamp on this for sure but my advice is keep it on the simple side as the Protein Powder I use for this smoothie bowl (Hemp & Pea Protein from Vital) has the BEST taste … so you don’t want to mask it too much!

So for my bowl (which you of course have in a cup as well), I throw the following in the blender …

  • Cacao

  • Hemp Oil

  • Hemp Seeds

  • Macca Powder

  • Collagen Powder

  • Ice

  • Almond Milk (compare a few to make sure you find one with low sugar)

  • Chia Seeds

  • Peanut Butter - only from time-to-time. Depends what kind of flavour I’m craving!

TOPPINGS (Optional)

  • Sunflower Seeds

  • Pumpkin Seeds

  • Lots of Cinnamon

  • Macadamia Nuts

  • Coconut Flakes

  • Almonds

  • Cocoa Nibs

That’s it! Easy pea-sy right ;)

And it takes about 2 minutes to whip up in a blender, which is perfect as I usually make my smoothie post working out when I’m starving!

I shop for the ingredient goodies at my local farmers markets in Byron and/or health food stores around town where you can buy the product (nuts, powders etc), in bulk and take them all home in your own glass jars & paper bags.

This particular smoothie is usually one I’d have for breakfast or lunch. I do love having eggs in the morning but it’s nice to mix it up from time-to-time. Also when the weather is warmer, there is nothing more refreshing that a cold, icey smoothie.

After a tough morning workout, I like to refuel my body with protein to help my muscles recover & stay strong. Plus, a high protein diet can really help your body stay toned & lean. This particular Pea & Hemp Protein Powder allows you to stay fuller for longer, which is handy for anyone who loves to snack on sweet things (i.e. me!!) in between meals, as it’ll help to dissolve the cravings for naughty things.
