ELYSE KNOWLES POLO SYDNEY 2019.jpeg

Sydney’s A-list goes giddy up at Centennial Park

The world's largest national polo series returned to Sydney yesterday for champagne, glamour, fashion, repeat. Model Elyse Knowles made the ultimate fashion statement by bringing a touch of Byron Bay to the annual Land Rover Polo in the City event. Dressed by Melbourne stylist Elliot Garnaut, the former Block contestant arrived in a brown sarong – not the usual Hamptons-style attire that historically has graced the Polo.

The chic day out was a far more relaxed gathering than Melbourne’s recent Spring Racing Carnival. The star attraction wasn’t the usual Sydney socialites but Mexican-American polo player Nano Gracida. A member of the most famous dynasty in the world of polo, Gracida competed yesterday afternoon. In the namesake Land Rover Marquee, fashion Instagram star Violet AtkinsonMichael "Wippa" Wipfli and wife Lisa were joined by celebrity ambassadors Sally Fitzgibbons, Knowles and chef James Viles.
