The pair become something of the Golden Couple of Australia, delighting audiences with their laidback charm, hilarity and affectionate displays that seemed to restore our faith in love.
Now, congratulations are in order for Knowles and Barker, who have announced the arrival of their first child - Sunny Barker. The couple announced the exciting news on Instagram, sharing a sweet photo of their new bub’s feet. The pair captioned the photo: “The next chapter in our lives. The best chapter yet. And it’s called Sunny ☀️ 25~2~21 Sunny Barker 💙”The 27-year-old model has been open about her desire to start a family. In an interview with Gritty Pretty, she said: “I just keep thinking that my mum had me at 28 and, oh my gosh, I need to get going! I want one or two kids by 30. I just don’t want to wait until too late in my life. I’d rather put family first and then career.”
The couple, who have been together for seven years, first announced the exciting news in September 2020, sharing a photo of a love heart covering Elyse’s belly while in the Northern Territory.

It’s welcome news for all who have followed Elyse on her pregnancy journey. She even told WHO in 2018 that she had dreamed about becoming a mum. “If I wasn’t doing what I’m doing now, and have the dreams I have, I would have a baby by now,” she told the publication. “I love babies, adore them! I’m always babysitting for friends and I can’t wait to have a family.”
