Swimsuit model Elyse Knowles reveals 'hanging out with tradies' on The Block made her realise there's more to life than the media spotlight.

She's the swimsuit model who traded in the catwalk for a building site.

And model Elyse Knowles, 24, has no regrets about taking a break from her career to take part in The Block, revealing it has given her a new outlook on life.

She told The Daily Telegraph on Thursday that 'hanging out with tradies for the last three months' made her realise there's more to life than modelling.

Elyse, who appears on the The Block with boyfriend Josh Barker, confessed she was often consumed by social media during her day-to-day life.

'You get caught up in the industry and having all these things pushed in your face via social media,' she said.
